Heyya!!!

Nice to meet you I'm Tyra! But most of my close friends call me Ty. I was born and raised in the Philippines. At the age of 18, I had the opportunity to live in the USA. I am a future surgical technologist who creates music on the side. Debuted with "Iha", the song I wrote in a combination of English and Filipino that talks about my struggles as a college student.

I have been playing instruments for as long as I can remember. I started out with the piano when I was 6 years old. By the time I got to 5th grade, we had to learn how to play guitar in my music class and that is how I fell in love with the instrument. I continued teaching myself how to play guitar after my semester ended and once I reached high school, I was chosen to be one of the guitar players of our music ensemble. I was also chosen to be the lead guitar player of our group when I reached senior year. During my time with my high school ensemble, I also learned how to play the drums and bass. As for songwriting, I started making songs since 6th grade. The school I went to wanted someone to write a graduation song and I ended up becoming the main writer, composer, and arranger of our graduation songs in both elementary and high school. I continued writing songs in two languages since then. When I started going to college, I joined our contemporary music ensemble as one of their guitar players and vocalists as well as the singer of the alto section of our vocal jazz choir, in order to continue receiving scholarship and study my prerequisites.

As mentioned above, I only do music on the side because my main focus at the moment is to get my surgical technology degree. However, I am happy to be in contact with anyone who is interested for bookings. You can connect through email, Facebook, or Instagram page. See ya soon!
